7 Healthy Money Habits You Must Develop Today

Elegant business woman with pile of moneyAs a conscious woman entrepreneur, you desire to make a real difference in the world. However, research shows that 46% of start-ups fail due to a poor money relationship. It’s tricky to live your purpose if you don’t know how to bring in sufficient funds consistently.

Fortunately, the good news is that you can make your purposeful business sustainable. Even if you are losing sleep due to financial stress right now, let me assure you, money mindset and skills can be learned. You just need to shift your perspective and develop the following habits.

1. Stop assuming that money is not here for you.

We were born into a society which broadcasts scarcity every day. The first step to break free from this pattern is to take a leap of faith. Make a list of a few past events where money was there supporting you. For example, think of the last time you:

  • bought a life-changing book or enrolled a class which allowed you to uplevel your business;
  • treated yourself a relaxing massage or vacation in an exotic location;
  • hired an assistant to take the pressure off your shoulder;
  • purchased gifts for people who you really love and care for…

Money is right here to meet your needs.

2. Treat money as a respectful being.

Just as it is difficult to form a passionate and satisfying relationship with your loved ones without respecting them, your money relationship can certainly flourish from a place of a genuine curiosity and appreciation. Money loves clarity and being paid attention to. So here are some actions for you to take:

  • Start tracking your income
  • Form clarity in terms of how much money you need per month
  • Set a “weekly abundance date” to look at your bills and bank statements and really understand your numbers

3. Be open with how money can flow into your life

Building your own business does take a lot of courage, planning and work, but it doesn’t have to be dull or rigid. This means, instead of blindly following the trend, you have permission to honour your heart’s desires. Infuse more playfulness into your product creation, building your funnel and your enrollment process.

Money loves to reward your creativity and originality, and when you are in alignment, it will find its way to your bank account with enthusiasm.

4. It is not a one-night stand thing

Cultivating your money relationship is a life-long journey, not a one-off blast then you can forget about it after all. You need to train yourself tore-commit to this meaningful relationship everyday.

Here are some of my favourite tools to share with you:

  • Having a daily gratitude list will help you reconnect with your inner-wisdom no matter what;
  • Listening to subliminal audio regularly will train your subconscious mind consistently;
  • Talking to your coach/mentor and keep investing yourself in money education can be extremely helpful and nurturing.

5. Practise saying “no”

You might attract people who don’t value your work enough. As a heart-based entrepreneur, it is so easy to dig yourself into a “pleasing hole” and keep giving until you burnout.

If you don’t feel like bartering or offering discounts, you can decline the requests with elegance. Don’t be afraid to take a stand for yourself, you’ve got a healthy money relationship backing you up!

6. Treat selling as an “abundance date”

Selling doesn’t have to be dirty. Take a moment, and ask yourself this question: “Why am I in business”? To be of service, right?

Instead of approaching it with fear, treat it as a date with abundance. Stop procrastinating, send out your newsletters, sole emails, finish your video and make an invitation for people to work with you regularly. Your “abundance date” gives you this sacred opportunity to help your ideal clients.

7. Stay in the flow

In order to become a money magnet, you need to:

  • Give and accept compliments freely;
  • Declutter your home environment regularly;
  • Laugh out loud without hesitation;
  • Open your heart and always expect the best.

I trust that these tips will give you a money relationship make-over. Make it a priority to cultivate your money relationship, and don’t be surprised when you will feel comfortable to raise your rate soon – because of a renewed sense of self-worth.
